New Orleans Elopement in the French Quarter

Updated: Jan 8

Venues: The Rathbone Mansions and Tujague's

New Orleans is one of the greatest cities in the U.S. to elope because of its unique charm and vibrant atmosphere. The city's rich culture, historic architecture, and lively music scene provide the perfect backdrop for a romantic and memorable elopement. The city's delicious cuisine and festive spirit add to the allure of eloping in New Orleans, creating an unforgettable experience for couples looking to celebrate their love in a one-of-a-kind setting.

So when Paige & Jake reached out to me about their interest in having their wedding day in New Orleans, I was excited to have another opportunity to work in the city! Their wedding day was very much focused around their experience. They wanted to spend quality time with both each other and the important people in their lives, so they made sure that their timeline allowed for those special moments.

The morning was spent preparing for the day's events at the Rathbone Mansions - Paige with the girls and Jake with the guys. The bride herself designed the invitations for the event and it was one of the best-printed suites I've ever received! Once they were both ready for the day, the couple shared a private first look in the courtyard of their hotel followed by privately read vows they wrote for each other.

We spent some time taking pictures at the hotel and Exchange Place before heading to Tugague's restaurant where they had their ceremony in their historic courtyard with old brick walls, string lights, and tropical plants hanging from the walls. They celebrated with dinner upstairs in a private dining room, and dinner was de-lishous! Even if you're not getting married there, you should be making a reservation for dinner.

They ended their evening with friends on Frenchmen Street having drinks and listening to live music! It was truly a New Orleans wedding experience to remember, and I'm so grateful to have been there to document it.
